Super Smash Bros Ultimate Tier List 2019

With regular patches and players finding new ways to play characters, the Super Smash Bros Ultimate Tier List is bound to change over time. Now the pros have had a full month to play the game, things look a little different from the Smash Ultimate Tier Lists of 2018. Here are some 2019 Smash Bros Ultimate Tier Lists from Leffen, ANTi, and Komorikiri.

Leffen has updated his tier list from 2018, and this time, he’s gone for a tier grid style. He posted his tier list in a YouTube video.

This format is popular in other fighting games. It allows him to assess the well-roundedness of characters as well as how good they seem right now.

That means that while characters like Pichu and Donkey Kong are great right now, they also have some flaws that can be exploited.

Leffen believes Peach is the character with the highest ceiling. Pokemon Trainer, Inkling, Yoshi, Pikachu, Cloud, Palutena, and Inkling are also ranked as strong, well-rounded fighters.

ANTi released his Smash Bros Ultimate Tier List and analysis earlier this month in a YouTube video. It’s made with the Smash Bros Ultimate Tier List Maker.

Top Tier – Inkling, Peach, Daisy, Ike, Cloud, Palutena, Fox, Olimar, Lucina, Pichu

High Tier – Richter, Simon, R.O.B., Mega Man, Pikachu, Chrom, Roy, Marth, Greninja, Link, Donkey Kong, Chrom, Wario, Lucario, Pit, Dark Pit, Dark Samus, Samus, Mewtwo, Sonic, Snake, Yoshi, Young Link, Wolf

Mid Tier – Falco, Pac-Man, Ness, Zero Suit Samus, Diddy Kong, Incineroar, Luigi, Mario, Captain Falcon, Bowser, Ganondorf, Pokemon Trainer, Ice Climbers, Wii Fit Trainer, Meta Knight, Ridley, Ken, Ryu, Robin, Sheik, Zelda, Toon Link, Rosalina & Luma, Villager

Low Tier – Jigglypuff, King K Rool, Corrin, Lucas, Kirby, King Dedede, Bayonetta, Dr. Mario, Bowser Jr., Isabelle, Duck Hunt Duo, Little Mac

ANTi also ranks Inkling, Peach, Cloud, and Palutena, right at the top of the tier list. Other characters like Pokemon Trainer are significantly lower. Mr. Game and Watch, Mii Fighters, and Piranha Plant still need more information.

Komorikiri ranks characters by their skill level and potential, with the bottom category being “I Don’t Know”. He considers Daisy, Peach, Greninja, Chrom, and Olimar to be the very top characters.
