'Whole house ransacked after burglars removed part of door'

Burglars removed part of a door to get into a home near a school before ransacking it.

Herts Police have called for members of the public to share any information or footage they may have relating to the break-in on Uxbridge Road, Rickmansworth, at around 8.14pm yesterday (February 18).

Suspects accessed the property, which the force said is near to The Reach Free School, via an alleyway to its left before removing the bottom PVC panel of the back door to get in.

The whole house was ransacked as they searched it before leaving through the back patio doors using the key. The suspects also covered the back door handle and the bottom of the PVC panel with cleaning products.

They exited via the same alleyway and then got in a silver Audi A4 Saloon that was parked in the road, police said.
